Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, Sabah
The islands of TAR Park can be visited on a day, or, half day trip from Kota Kinabalu waterfront.

We also offer escorted day trips, including a barbeque lunch.
The islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park, just off the coast at Kota Kinabalu, have been designated a marine preservation area, to preserve the pristine conditions for the marine life surrounding these stunning coral islands.

Only about 20 minutes boat ride from the waterfront at Kota Kinabalu, the islands are easily reached, but only two of them may be visited by daytrippers.
The main island visited is Pualau Manukan (pictured right).
Boats go into the jetty and the boardwalk takes you straight to the main beach. Here you can just sunbathe or swim and snorkel (equipment is readily available for hire on the beach) and have lunch at the small restaurant at the back of the beach.

It is also possible to stay here overnight in the simple chalets and apartments.
