Here is some information about the holiday you will book with us,

what we do for you..... and what we ask you to do with us
For us at NEI (UK) your holiday means as much to us as it does to you and to help you have the holiday you deserve, we need to be able to talk to you.

Of course, we hope you like one of our suggested tours, but we recognise that these days travellers are more likely to require a 'tailor made' holiday and here at
NEI (UK) we are more than happy to help you, but we must talk to you - again and again if necessary, to make sure we give you exactly the holiday you want.

We will listen to you and do our utmost to arrange whatever you want, but if necessary, we will offer suggestions of our own.  We do not want to interfere, but our experience in arranging 'tailor made' holidays means we can often eliminate hitches before they even raise their ugly heads.

Please bear with us.  We really do care about your holiday - but, if you prefer, you could always talk to a call centre 'keyboard tapper' as an alternative!

Arranging a holiday is a joint exercise. We at
NEI (UK) welcome being part of this, not only once, but for many years to come.
All our tours are arranged as 'land only'.  What this means is that we make all the arrangements in the country in which you are taking your holiday.

We are more than happy to arrange air tickets for you, too, but we also appreciate that some of you might work for an airline and have access to subsidised tickets.  If you do, then good for you, but if you don't..... you can rely on us to find the very best value air tickets for you.

All 'land only' arrangements and air tickets are fully protected under current UK and EU bonding legislation and are covered by an ATOL licence and the airlines own IATA bonding.

In
our tours we usually include - unless you tell us not to - any day trips we think are worth taking in your destination country.  This means you will not be pestered by a local rep who is desperate for you to take a day trip because they get a slice of commission and it is also one expense you do not have to worry about after you arrive abroad.  And, surprise, surprise, the total cost of a tour with us, is often much less than a basic package with another company, where you then have to add on the cost of the day trips.

Likewise, especially in Borneo,
we include some meals for you.  (All our tours will be on, at least, bed & breakfast basis)  The rest of the time you have the choice of eating at the hotel or going out and about to sample local restaurants.

We do not have fixed departure dates for our individual holidays.  You choose when you want to go and then leave the rest to us.   If you want to travel mid-week, you can!  If a weekend is better for you, that's OK, too.

Similarly, we are happy to arrange
holiday insurance for you.  If you already have your own, or want to buy it somewhere else, that is fine.  You will not be pressured into buying the insurance we sell - but it is about the best and most comprehensive you can find anywhere.

And, last but not least, this is your holiday.
We remember that - you should too.
We know internet 'surfers' don't normally read text, but please take a look here.  We think you will find it useful and informative
Recent developments, particularly relating to the use of the internet, have caused us to review the way we respond to requests to arrange our 'tailor made' holidays.

Although we will be continuing to offer our expert services to arrange the very best holiday for you, we have found that on many occasions we are simply being used to compare prices with those which appear to be available by booking direct via the internet and to check hotel room availability. This has proved to be a very frustrating development for us and, frankly, we have better things to do than to be used as a free service by those who have no intention of actually making a booking with us.

With this in mind please note that from now on we will be requesting, from everyone, details of the budget they have available to them. In this way we will not spend valuable time trying to get the very best deal we can for you, only to be met later with the response that an Internet booking appears to be cheaper. We find that in the majority of cases this is not the actual case and 'like for like' has not been quoted for via the internet. For example, our holidays include many items which are charged as expensive 'extras' by other companies.

              If anyone wants
                   *  to risk arriving at a distant destination, perhaps in the middle of the night, without a
                      guaranteed transfer to the hotel;
                   *  to risk finding, after a long and tiring flight, there is no guaranteed and suitable room
                      in their chosen hotel, despite thinking they have booked it;
                   *  to dispense with excellent assistance throughout their holiday (and who knows what
                      might go wrong?);
                   *  to not have access to local knowledge which will not be available to the casual
                      visitor;
                   *  to arrive at sites at the same time as every other tourist..........
                                                                      then, a booking via the Internet may be just the thing for you.

But, if, throughout your holiday, you want an assurance that everything possible will be done to assist you and ensure that your holiday is memorable for all the right reasons, then arranging and booking your holiday through us would be a better option.

Bear in mind, also, that a booking through us is fully bonded and your holiday and money are secured in a way in which they will not be if you make direct bookings with overseas suppliers, be they travel agencies or hotels.

It is, and has been for more than 10 years, our pleasure to discuss every aspect of  intended holidays with our clients. Our expertise in this regard cannot be bettered and only by doing this can we be certain that the holiday our clients decide upon is the one they really will get.
