Nepal, Tibet & Bhutan
NEPAL

To many, the country of Nepal is synonymous with trekking and back-packing, but there is more to this fascinating country than mountains and long walks. Yes,
we can arrange for you to trek in Nepal and are happy to do so, but over
the years we have found that our clients want more than just
a walk in the hills.

We would also like you to see more, such as the
interesting cities of
Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The
Chitwan National Park with its wide variety of wildlife, including tigers, and riding in a howdah on an elephant's back, viewing birds, black rhinos, antelopes, etc., is a trip never to be forgotten.
NEI (UK) can arrange 'soft' treks, taking in Chitwan and one or two of Nepal's cities, together with a short trek, which do not involve camping.
TIBET

One of the most mysterious countries in the world, Tibet is still
largely unknown to Western visitors.
The directors of
NEI (UK) have a special interest in Tibet as they
own, show and breed Tibet's giant dog, the Tibetan Mastiff.

NEI (UK) is happy to arrange for visits to Tibet, via Nepal. Due to the
nature of the country, though and the different standards of
accommodation and the varying requirements of our clients, please
contact us to discuss where in Tibet you wish to go and what most interests you about the country.

We can then help you put together the tour you want
We do not arrange any set tours to Tibet, though, it is possible for you - like many of our clients - to join a consolidated tour, organised by our agents in Kathmandu.

BHUTAN

The fabled 'Dragon Kingdom' of Bhutan, high in the Himalayan range is a country
only just beginning to open up to Western tourism.
It is a fascinating country with a wide diversity of wild life, which is one of the country's main attractions, together with its own
unique version of Tibetan Buddhism.

Tourism to Bhutan is rigorously controlled and you must visit the country as part of a
confirmed package.
Bhutan's attractions, though more than make up for this limitation - from Pharo Dzong, to the Tiger's Nest monastery, perched precariously on the side of a mountain are images which will live with you forever.

Please give us a call if you are intending to visit Bhutan and we can talk things through with you and send you details of the packages we have available.
