Kashmir houseboat holiday |
Travel with NEI (UK) and enjoy the India of your dreams |
Just imagine yourself lazing on the verandah of your houseboat - moored away from the town at Dal Lake's exclusive Golden Point - sipping a glass of Kashmiri spice tea, overlooking the lake, Shankaracharya Hill, the boulevard, shikaras gliding gracefully over the surface of the water, almond trees with their pink and white blossom dotting the countryside. Spend a day high in the mountains, horse riding across flower covered meadows, or, strolling lazily through the fabulous terraced, water and floral Mughal gardens at Shalimar and Nishat. Glide across the lake on your own shikara (the Kashmiri gondola) through acres of lotus blossoms, as you are gently cooled by a soft fragrant breeze from the high mountains. The friendliness and hospitality of the Kashmiri people has to be experienced to be believed - and they will certainly welcome you to their land. If you would like a relaxing holiday this is one place which cannot be beaten. Full details of our tour to Kashmir, Delhi and the Taj Mahal at Agra are shown below. Early booking is strongly advised if you would like to be one of the first to re-enter this fabled valley. |
